Every one of us has experienced it at some point. At one time, we were really into a relationship?whether that?s a friendship or a dating relationship?and now, well, not so much. We?re just not that into it anymore. So we walk away or we let the relationship die. But what happens when that relationship you?re not that into anymore is the one you have with God? You were really into Him at one point. You were feeling connected, directed, close. Now it feels like nothing. How do you deal with it? Session 1: The Breakup? Bottom Line: My relationship with God has moments when I feel close, and moments when I?m just not that into Him. Session 2: Fight for Me Bottom Line: God never leaves, but sometimes I have to fight my own feelings and actions to stay in relationship with Him. Session 3: Do You Know Me? Bottom Line: When I am so focused on me, sometimes I miss seeing God for who He really is and make Him into someone who is easy to walk away from.

Come join us this Thursday at 7pm for this new series and rock out with us. We have been very excited to watch God move in these worship events each week. God is moving at Revolution. Whats up Revolutin?? Its been a long time since I have been on the blog. Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying our services on Thursday nights and bible study on Sunday nights. It has been a great, and we anticipate great things to come. I want to share with you this brand new series we will be going through over the next few weeks. It is called Attached!

Everyone is attached to someone or something that brings them happiness or contentment. That can result in some very high highs and some very low lows. What if you could attach yourself to something - actually Someone - so that no matter what life brought, you were content and knew who you were?
Here's the weekly breakdown of the Attached series:Week 1: Strings (What we are attached to determines our contentment.)Week 2: Who am I? (What we are attached to determines who we are.)Week 3: Leaning (Attaching ourselves to Christ requires "unattaching" ourselves from everything else, a choice that requires risk on our behalf.)

I am very excited about this series and hope you are too. Begin now asking God to speak to you through this series and His word. It will be life changing. Look forward to seeing you every Thursday night at 7pm. Doors open at 6 for games, relaxing, food from the cafe, ping pong tournaments, music and fun. We look forward to growing in Christ with you.

ARE YOU READY FOR A REVOLUTION August 20th is just around the corner. We are starting our worship event on this date at 7pm!!! It is going to be CRAZY for JESUS up in dere! North Valley Church http://www.mynvc.org/ got directions on it! Come and join with us in worship to our Savior, our King.
Our mission is to connect students to God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to serve and love others as we grow in our faith in Him. Matthew 22:37-39. I am excited to be apart of something God is doing in this community. Our first event was held on July 24th. We had 104 in attendance and 4 students made decision to follow Christ. We give God all the glory!

DJRagz kicked the night off with some amazing beats, and DPB came out and set the house on fire for God! We had a fun game where students were eating gross baby food...yuck.....and smiley won the challenge! The gospel was preached in a very simple way, simple message..Jesus will meet you where your at and CHANGE YOUR LIFE, just like he did the woman at the well. John 4. That night.....lives were forever changed by the grace of God. We are very excited to start this weekly event starting August 2oth at 7pm. Please invite your friends who may not know Christ as their savior. Thanks goes out to all the volunteers who made this event possible. Thank you to everyone who stayed and cleaned up. We get to do it again and again and again and again!!

We also want to thank the local churches who brought out their students to this event. May God bless you all.

Hello everyone!

It is time for our Summer Jam/Preview event on July 24th @ 7pm. We will be having a dynamic, high energy, powerful worship event on this date! We are very excited to see God move in a mighty way through the St. Clair County area and in the lives of students from all over. God has positioned us all together to spread the gospel, the good news, of His Son Jesus Christ in order to save and to changel lives. You better hold on, Jesus Christ is sweeping through this county and he is kicking the devil in the teeth and the chains that is holding our teenagers down are about to be free, by the power of the blood of the one who died and rose again for us. His name is above every name, He is the king of kings and the Lord of lords, His name is JESUS!

THE BATTLE WITHIN

Each one of us faces a battle within, a battle that may go unseen by those around, but inside there is major brawl. It’s a battle with temptation. And depending on the temptation and its hold on your life, it may be a battle that seems impossible to win. In this series, we will take a look at the temptations Jesus faced in the desert, and identify the driving forces behind the temptations we all face every day. Because once you realize what the pull is behind the temptation, you can find the confidence to follow Jesus’ example and respond as He did. ANGRY!!!

What ticks you off? Traffic? Long Lines? People not posting on your facebook page? It's amazing how we do a 180 from happy to mad based on life meeting our expectations. But what if we got angry about things that really mattered? The things that devastate the people in our world? What if we quit being angry about the stuff that doesn't matter and got angry about the stuff that does? Starting March 8th we will be going through this new series. I am looking forward to getting angry with you. Come and join us March 8 at 4pm and lets get Angry together.

We are also planning an outing for the guys and the girls. Guys, we will be going camping on March 20th. Bring your tent, warm clothes, and food. We are going to rough it over night and have a great time hanging out by the campfire. Bring your bibles.....God's word by campfire is going to be life changing!!!

Girls, its going to be a sleep over at Rachel Nelsons house. Bring your pj's and your makeup stuff. you will be hanging out talking about boys and watching girly movies. GREAT TIMES and memories. Bring your bible because you are sure to look at God's word during your stay.

Dont forget about our new series. I am stoked about this one. It is going to be great.

What comes to mind when you think about God? Who do you believe God is, and how do you believe God interacts with you personally and with your world? These are questions we are going to be addressing in this three-week series - Godview. You see, every one of us has a Godview, and that Godview affects everything we do. The tension in this series is that we don't ever really know everything about God. There are things that each one of us knows about God now that we didn't know five years ago because God is constantly revealing Himself to us through the relationship that we have with Him. And while we'll never really know everything about God - because He's that big and that mysterious - the things we can learn about Him shape the way we respond to whatever life brings. That's why author A.W. Tozer said, "What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."

This is a 3 week series. Come join us for worship/bible study/small groups/and games every Sunday at 4pm to 5:30pm. Come on and rock out with us. We look forward to seeing you there.

We welcom Joel Kizziah to Revolution this week. We have been praying for him and we cant wait to hear Gods word. Last week was a great time at revolution. We took on a new years resolution. "Run the Race of Faith" We all prayed and asked God to help us to run the race of faith from Hebrews 12:1-3. We are pumped and VERY excited to see what God has instore for us this year. It is going to be fun, crazy, wild, and magnetic. We are very energized and just plan ole pumped. See you Sunday's at4pm. Come Worship with us!!! 6th grade to 12th grade.

Heart of a Champion

Hey,

We start a new series this week called "Heart of a Champion"

In this four week series, we are going to explore the nature

of our hearts- and how to develop a heart that seeks to reflect

the character of God. The state of one's heart is central to

guiding one's faith. God's love is more than anyone can imagine.

This series will not only help us understand it, but also live it.

I am very excited about this new series. Make sure to attend

every week bcause this is going to ROCK!

Also, October 11th is youthquake. We will be going to Cullman

to enjoy so good ole slam your head mosh pit neck hurting

ROCK! You dont want to miss this event. We have had record

breaking attendance in revolution in the past weeks and we give

God all the glory for this and we will continue to keep Jesus Christ

our focus and foundation.

Lot of stuff going on in October so be prepared for crazy times.

Hey Hey Hey,

Time is moving fast and our D-Now weekend is among us. Please remember this event is August 15-16. Friday the 15 we will meet at NVC at 7pm for a worship service. After the service the girls are going to load up and head to Stacy Gay's house with Celeste Brown for a fun filled night. The Boyz are going to Mike Uptains (me) house to throw down some hard core fun and Jason Gay will be part of this group. Saturday the 16, we will all meet back at NVC at 3pm for another worship service and a rock show. Our speaker for the event is Rev. Ike and the band is Plea 33.

Invite ALL your friends to come to this event. If they dont want to spend the night it is cool for them to come Fri. at 7pm and then again Sat. 3pm. This is going to ROCK!!! Dont miss it.

Summer Time!

Hello everyone,
We are finally back in the groove at revolution. We had a wonderful time last night. We started out watching the centrifuge video, wow we had a great time. We all came together for worship time. We had someone playing the jimba, shaker, and the tamborine. I played guitar the best i could and everyone sang songs to our Lord. We had a great time. Bible study was good, we talked about Jesus healing the paralytic, and how the first thing Jesus noticed about this man was his heart. Jesus knew his first need was to be forgiven. As is our need. And only Jesus can forgive us of our sins and heal us. It was a great night all round. I am looking forward to next week. It seems like our group is growing closer and closer to each other and unity is being shown throughout. God is working and we are not just going to be called a revolution, we will be a revolution.

Centrifuge

WOW,

What a week we had at Centrifuge. The trip down was long and hard to handle but after arriving we had so much fun. The first night at dinner we learned a lesson about the food. VERY BAD! So I constructed a plan for every meal except breakfast, GO OUT AN EAT. Another set back for us was having to room with other church's. But, after meeting everyone that turned out to be ok. The first night worship rally was amazing. The band was very good and lead us to the throne of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We had a wonderful time during all the worship services. The next thing was the games. WOW, they had all kinds of crazy games to play. Everyone was assigned a country with their own flag, that was made up of different students from different youth groups. It was really cool. BIBLE STUDY!!!!!! Bible study was amazing. We learned about the parables that Jesus taught. It was very good stuff and we all opened our hearts to God's word and we are going to apply it to our lives. Prayer time was huge for our church group. I love the fact that our two campus' came together as ONE church body and prayed with one another. I also observed each student encourage one another and cheered each other on. It was a great time for Unity within our group. Beach time was awesome! We had a great time overall at Centrifuge Panama City Beach location. But, I believe I speak for everyone when I say I can't wait to get back to Union Tenneessee for Centrifuge. This was my first Centrifuge as a youth leader and I have to say that God did mighty things through this ministry, with each student and myself. God is amazing. He is awesome. He is our God. We love Him, and we will serve Him the best we can. To God be the glory forever, Amen.

Out for a while

Hello everyone,

Revolution will be out for a while. This Sunday is memorial day weekend,
so no revolution. Next Sunday is the day before centrifuge so, no revolution.
We will continue after we get back. I hope everyone is doing good, reading your
bible, praying and walking the walk. Dont forget to READ YOUR BIBLE. This
is very important to your spiritual growth. Bring your bible to church, get out of
the habit of reading the screens. Open your bible and let God speak to your heart.
I love everyone of you. Please have a safe summer! Remember God is watching
you everywhere you go, day or night! See you at church.

Hello everyone,
Tonight at Revolution we had game night. It by far was the best game night we have had. We had a great turn out of students. 16 total. We worked hard to get our Xbox 360 up on the big screens. Thanks to Jeff and Dexter for getting things plugged in. We had guitar hero and halo going on at the same time. Everyone had a good time playing and hanging out. We are excited about what God is doing in our student ministry. Game night will be happening again real soon so keep coming back to this blog to recieve info on what going down at revolution.

Next Sunday we will introduce a new series for our bible study. Things in bible study have been going real good. We will continue with a game before we start our study each week. New songs have been added to our worship list thanks to Russ our music minister.Next Sunday we will also be having a worship band coming from 1st baptist trussville. We look forward to our new series and for a visiting worship band. Things are going to get really wild over the next 4 weeks so hold on to your hat. If you havent been in a while we are changing and growing. God has been good to our group. I will be praying for all of you this week and cant wait till we meet again. May God bless you in a mighty way.
